XBOX Kinect Games

I have an Xbox with Kinect but not enough Kinect games *upsidedownsmileyface*

Following this year’s E3, a spate of Kinect games are on the horizon. Check them out here Hoorahh!

Three’s a crowd…

…Not in the gaming industry! Q4 sees the launch of three fantastic shooter games. Gears 3 by Epic sees this finale out with an updated Horde Mode; Modern Warfare 3 with the adrenaline rush of Spec Ops and EA’s incredibly lifelike Battlefield 3.

Close the curtains and turn the surround sound on – autumn time is going to be a cosy indoor situation.

You need to be of consenting age to view these trailers.

By the way Dirt 3 is out now

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Set to launch in the UK on August 4th, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is going to shake the market I guarantee it. With Honeycomb (3.1) operating system, a sleek, thin and light design – oh and with Adobe Flash pah to the iPad2! It’s GO GO GO! Check it out.

E3

Soooo much was happening at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that I was not able to keep up with the live stream and twitter feed! From the Playstation Vita to Wii U to dozens of game teasers and trailers. Jaw dropping and breathtaking to say the least. For a complete E3 report click here and enjoy. The gaming industry is surely stepping up a gear or 3.

Where for art thou video games manual

I read Jonathan Deesing’s article on the Lost Art of the Video Games Manual and was nodding in agreement, smiling and reminiscing of the old skool days when I used to read the manual like it was a bedtime story. In an effort to excel in the game itself I would commit maps and moves to memory so I could get on with it the next time I played. Nowadays I’m spending £45 for a plastic case and useless advertising paraphernalia. I don’t want that! I want the manual, the guide, the story, the pictures, the maps – thankyouplease.

Long live the video games manual!

Video Games Tester

Darren is QA Director at Big Blue Bubble – in a nutshell he’s a Video Games Tester. Whilst for me that title is envious and coveted, it is a lot of hard work. He has spent many long hours ‘testing’ the games for us so we have no glitches in our play time. Find out what being a QA Director for BBB is like here, also check out their latest app Burn the Rope.

Rolltop

What is it? A circular handbag? I had to watch the trailer for Rolltop three times to get my head around this unique concept, which is currently under development. Quite a revolutionary design, I think it’s a bold, creative and great idea. I’m not entirely sure how, or even if, it will catch on since the bombardment of all things proportionally tablet sized seems to have taken over the technology market. Rolltop puts a new and innovative dimension on the laptop market – quite literally. Check out the trailer to Rolltop what are your thoughts?

iTwin

(Unfortunately) I am that kind of person that carries my external hard drive around with me. I am not the kind of person to carry my laptop because it’s cumbersome – hence my desire for a tablet. Now if I were to lose my external hard drive, I would cry and die inside as everything (all 500GB of my life) is contained in this device. Having stumbled across iTwin, a revolutionary USB device, I believe my fear of having my handbag stolen and subsequent loss of all I’ve ever created would not come to fruition. One half of the thumb drive stays in your home/office computer and the other you carry around, hey presto you can access all your files*. Am grateful my handbag will now have room for my Nintendo DS.
